I hope that my work is ever evolving. I want to explore, let go, be challenged. Those are my art goals this year. I am working on a lesson in impressionism and the result is nothing of the like. It's a good piece but it's not impressionistic. I also started a reproduction of "Veithul in the Fog" by Monet, but stopped for lack of being able to work from my one picture on the computer. I am not the biggest fan of doing reproductions but they work as a map for lessons on how to paint a certain way. Why is it so hard to let go of my natural style and go against the grain? I want something new.
